Ahh... Halloween. I had a test at 830 the next morning but Amy and Taylor were in town so I said I'll go out for one beer. Why does that never work? and why am I doing things in grad school-- drinking the night before a test, going hiking instead of to school, taking off friday afternoon to play bocci in the park and drink beer (all done in the last week)-- that are usually associated with slacking undergrads? Probably, in part, I can blame amy and taylor, probably in part because I am slacking in the writing process. But really, besides moments of panic, writing is not that stressful or time consuming.

Haven't you realized yet that most grad students are still in school to avoid getting a "real job"? They are the ultimate slackers! The real fear comes when they actually have to defend their research!

You're a hard working gal, Beth. Don't beat yourself up for having some fun and slacking off. :c)
