In a fun filled day in the lab I managed to completely break the settling column and spill bleach on my pants. The equipment I am using has not been maintenanced in an an unknown period of time as far aas I can tell it was 2001 or earlier and everything keeps breaking on me. I feel bad for the undergrad who is working for me because he is trying to get a project done and things keep falling apart (literally).
In better news, Amy and Taylor headed out to the Peace Corps on Sunday. They have some training in D.C. and then are off to the Dominican Republic for two years.
I wish them luck.

Buena suerte to Amy and Taylor! (sorry if that's incorrect Spanish) Are you going to get a chance to visit them in the DR?
my sister just got back from the DR for a short vacation to go to a friend's wedding. the part they were in was really gorgeous - its not that big so I imagine most of it must be pretty darn beautiful. I wish them lots of luck. I used to want to join the Peace Corps - 'good onya' as NZ Beth would have said. :c) sorry about your equiptment, that is sucky. -T
